Nili Bassman is an award-winning film, television, and Broadway actress and singer who brings decades of character exploration, story development, and vocal technique to her narration. Her warm grounded voice lends intelligence, relatability, wit, sensitivity, confidence, and vulnerability to multi-dimensional female characters from all eras. Favorite genres include contemporary fiction, women's fiction, memoir, mystery, historical fiction, self-help, romance, and rom com.

 

Nili's years as a professional dancer, a songwriter, and a visual artist deeply connect her to stories surrounding music, dance and the arts. Her experience as a parent, an educator, and a special needs parent/disability advocate enables her to connect with multi-generational characters, parenting literature, and stories from the disability community. And Nili's Jewish roots and culture help her retell personal stories of the Jewish experience.

 

When not reading books or on a set, Nili loves traveling and making music and hiking with her family; tap dancing; baking; writing; connecting with her female ride-or-dies; and refurbishing furniture that needs a little love. Nili plays piano, guitar, ukelele, and a bit of banjo, and has kept a journal since the age of 14. Though she is a website designer on the side, Nili is truly a luddite at heart and is most at home writing old fashioned pen to paper letters, while sipping a cup of tea (or oat milk latte) by a field of wildflowers.
